Old Quebec City

Day 14 0 km, 0 km/hr, 1335 km total

Today, while the bike has been in the shop being pampered, (two new tires, new pedals for the captain, drivetrain cleaning and adjustment) we have spent the day walking. Quebec City is a hilly place, and we are finding sore muscles we didn’t even know we had.

The highlight of our walking would be the food tour we were on this afternoon. Led by the entertaining and knowledgable Pierre, we visited seven different establishments sampling everything from smoked salmon to crepes, to poutine, usually with a matching drink sample, finishing the whole trip off with chocolate.

The good food and new friends helped us forget that the day was cold, cloudy, and drizzly.

Tomorrow we head out again. The forecast continues to be dismal.
