4th of July on the Road

Just a short post today. We are camping tonight in a municipal campground with no internet (it does have showers though) in the town of Bruce Crossing, Michigan. Apparently, the 4th of July fireworks will be fired from right in front of us. The other campers are excited about their front row seats, we just wonder how we will stay awake till 10:45.

They are playing country gospel music in the beer garden.’

We had a longish ride today with lots of construction sites (all stopped for the holiday) to negotiate. Sometimes cars were less than patient with us. Our ride got a little longer with detours and roads closed for parades.

There are flags everywhere.

We are, kind of, keeping our heads down and our maple leaf jerseys safely in our panniers.
