Being a Grandpa

We’re in Edmonton being grandparents.

Grandma and D

It’s not really a very hard job. R is doing, and has done, most of the work and JW is doing a great job of supporting her and helping to make sure that their world runs smoothly. We’ve come to enjoy the new little guy and help out if we can (there’s really not much for us to do and that’s fine).

A boy and his Grandpa

It is amazing looking at this little fellow who got half of his genetic make up from J and I. Today we looked at baby pictures of his parents trying to figure out who he looks like. It’s not an easy task because he looks a bit like both of them and both of them look like babies in these pictures, so maybe he just looks like a baby. The thing is, he doesn’t look like a stranger. He reminds us of someone who we should know, someone who is familiar to us, and that is really cool.
