Thanksgiving 2010

We had a great Thanksgiving weekend.

A month or so ago we decided to camp on Thanksgiving weekend with J’s brother and his family.  Normally, this would be a dumb idea.  Thanksgiving can be really cold and wet, and sometimes it even snows.  Dumb or not, we had a plan.

It turns out that this year was to be an exception.  The weather all weekend was warm and sunny.  Nights, while being cool, were clear and we were able to look up and see stars everywhere.

We walked through the woods, biked into the local small tourist town (which was shutting down for the season with 50% off everything!!!), drove to another small town, and spent some time on an artist’s tour.  We enjoyed each other’s company around the fire in the evenings and had a huge Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday.

God is good.
